Dolpo trek remains a truly isolated and hidden corner located in the Shey- Phoksundo National Park, mid – western of Nepal, behind the Dhaulagiri massif.
Time has stood still here for centuries as inhabitants of Tibetan stock continue to live, cultivate and the trade way since time immemorial. It has preserved ecosystem encompasses a wild and wonderful variety of plants, visitation and wildlife, including the blue sheep and snow leopard and magnificent views including Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m). A trek to Dolpa, you will have mystical landscapes which you will not easily in your lifetime. Trek in dolpa is controlled by the Government of Nepal, so we need minimum 2 people to get permits which are issuing by department of immigration.
The easiest access to Dolpo is by air from Nepalgunj to Juphal, which is a 4-hour walk from district-headquarters of Dunai. It is also possible to trek to Dunai from Dhorpatan that can be reached from Tansen or Pokhara.
